What to expect from the blog. Gundam Winging it…
If you’ve caught me on Bluesky (and before that, Twitter/X) , you’ll have a good idea of what to expect here — a pretty sporadic mix of anything related to Gundam news, media, events, merch, and fandom. Below are some examples of what I’ll be posting in the near-to-mid term. And sorry for the title pun, I just couldn’t resist. 😅

1. ⏰ Today in Gundam
/ Edit September 9 2025 / I’m trialing a ‘This Week in Gundam’ format, in place of ‘Today in Gundam’, to see how it lands in comparison.
On most weekdays at 11pm JST, I’ll drop a single post highlighting new, official developments from the world of Gundam. Anime! Merch! Apparel! Music! Gunpla! Interviews! And the rest. Think of it as a shortcut to what’s happened over the last 24 hours (which can sometimes be a lot).
If there’s nothing to report that day, I simply won’t post. Weekends, or Japanese national holidays, can typically be quiet when a show isn’t airing — however I’ll still aim to post if there’s something notable.

2. 🛍️ Store Spotlight
I’ll highlight one store or pop-up in some detail — typically in Tokyo, but I’ll also venture out when possible. Often it’ll be Gunpla related, but I enjoy exploring all sorts, provided there’s Gundam in the mix. The first of these spotlight posts is coming very soon!

3. 🛠️ This Week in Gunpla
Each Monday I’ll highlight new Gunpla dropping at physical retail that week in Japan. If none are scheduled, I won’t post. Note that P-Bandai kits aren’t assigned a set release date within their scheduled month — so one way to keep tabs on those is via the Gunpla Releases List.

4. 💿 Photo Reviews — Books, CDs, Vinyl, Blu-rays, Merch, etc
Photo-packed reviews of various media from (or related to) the Gundam franchise. Could be hot off the press, or a curiosity from the archives. Did you know that G Gundam’s ‘Flying in the Sky’ OP CD single, from 1994, houses karaoke backing animations on its mini CD?!

5. 🎭 Event Reports
I try to visit as many Gundam-related events & exhibitions as time allows. Expect reports filled with photos and impressions.

6. 🛠️ Gunpla building
My recent attempts at Gunpla have been spotty at best. With a revived home setup, I’m looking forward to committing more to the bit, and sharing my efforts!

7. 🔬 Gundam SEED DVD vs HD Remaster Blu-Ray Comparison
You may or may not know that there are oh so many differences between various editions of Gundam SEED and SEED DESTINY. This series of posts blows it all wide open. Let’s have fun comparing the differences — for better and (sometimes much) worse.

8. 🛸 Not Gundam
Very occasionally, I’ll post about something that isn’t related to the Gundam franchise, but that might be of interest. For example, a major exhibition is taking place in Tokyo this year to celebrate Neon Genesis Evangelion’s 30th Anniversary. I’ll absolutely be visiting, and am planning to share photos & impressions!

Just anything else that comes to mind. Today, I’ll be posting about when First Gundam was partially reanimated for Sega Saturn; plus my pulls from 24 separate Gundam Card Game booster packs!
