A Gundam Frame Cloaked in a False Mask
Severely damaged during the battle at Edmonton, the Gundam Kimaris Trooper was retrieved along with its pilot and received repairs and modifications.
This order came from Rustal Elion, commander of Gallarhorn's Outer Lunar Orbit Joint Fleet, Arianrhod, with the modifications led by Yamazin Toka, a technical officer from the same fleet. The main tasks involved repairing the armor and fixing damaged frame sections, but the primary goal was to βdisguise" the machine. Changes were made to its silhouette by replacing the armor and adding a third Ahab Reactor to create a false signal, completely erasing any resemblance to the original Gundam Kimaris.
The weapons were also redesigned, removing anything that might remind one of the Kimaris, replacing it with lighter, more agile weapons like the Burst Saber with explosive, detachable blades, a handgun, and close combat leg weapons known as Hunter's Edge. Another key feature of the Gundam Vidar was the inclusion of the Alaya-Vijnana type E. Before its final form, the prototype ASW-G-XK (XK) was used to test and adjust the system and its weapons. The Gundam Vidar and its systems were kept classified as top secret, with only a select few, like Rustal, having knowledge of the details. It was first deployed to suppress independence movements in the Oceanian Federation's industrial colonies. It later went on to face McGillis's Gundam Bael in battle.
A Gundam Frame that does not exist in any database and is shrouded in mystery.
The Gundam Vidar was created in the late stages of the Calamity War and is one of 26 surviving Gundam Frames as of P.D. 323. It has two Ahab Reactors and is designed for fighting mobile armor. Made from a rare, high-hardness alloy. it is highly durable and resistant to corrosion, allowing it to remain operational even 300 years later. Rebuilt from the damaged Gundam Kimaris Trooper, it was repaired, given a new exterior, and equipped with a third Ahab Reactor to hide Its original frequency and true identity.
AHAB REACTOR
While Gundam Frames typically have two Ahab Reactors, the Gundam Vidar is equipped with a third reactor mounted on its backpack. This reactor is Intended to disguise the unique frequency of the Ahab waves and has no direct effect on the machine's performance.
ARMS & LEGS
The arms feature no special mechanisms, similar to other Gundam Frames. However, the legs are equipped with Hunter's Edge blades on both the toes and heels, making it highly effective in close combat.
NANOLAMINATE ARMOR
Armor-coating metallic paint that reacts to Ahab particles. This paint absorbs and disperses the impact from beam weapons and physical projectiles, providing a strong defense. However, if the paint wears off, its protective capability weakens.
Weaponry
FOOT HUNTER'S EDGE
When used, blades extend from the toes and heels. While they lack cutting ability, they exhibit enough force to pierce even Nanolaminate Armor.
BURST SABER
A weapon made for thrusting and striking with great piercing power. Once it hits and embeds into the target, the blade can detach and explode, causing destruction. Additional blades are stored on the side armor for reloading.
HANDGUN
A small shooting weapon stored in the front skirt. It has a small caliber but is easy to handle, used for both suppressing enemies and intercepting missiles.
RIFLE
This weapon, being tested by Gjallarhorn, was chosen for the Gundam Vidar. It is designed for both close and mid-range combat.
