This is an upgraded version of the TMS (Transformable Mobile Suit) MSN-001A1 Delta Plus, provided to Argent Keil by Anaheim Electronics (AE).
Due to a secret agreement involved in this transaction, its exterior uses non-standard parts rather than official ones. AE originally planned to base this version on data from the phantom machine MSN-001 Delta Gundam, which was frozen at the design stage, but some elements of the upgrade were revised at Argent Keil's request.
The main items demanded were a head with a stronger Gundam-type design, the addition of close-range attack features to its main carried weapon, and new defensive equipment that incorporated an I-field and psycho-frame. As well as enhancing its symbolic value so that it could serve as an emblem of the organization, this also suited the combat techniques of its intended pilot, the Newtype Fixzi Fix. However, Fixzi was killed in battle before this machine was completed, and a former Federation Forces soldier who had subsequently joined the organization became the replacement pilot.
Armaments
Shield
Because it formed the nose during the Wave Rider transformation, the shield of the Delta series was more like a transformation sub unit than an item of defensive equipment. The newly designed shield of this version. however, is intended to enhance its defensive functions. It has unfolding open-type mega particle accelerators and a small generator. and can deploy an I-field barrier as well as attacking with mega particle cannons. It also uses psycho-frame for part of its material, running down both sides to the tip. In addition to enabling it to activate the l-field via psycho-waves, it's said this was adopted in the hope that it would give a Newtype pilot unknown advantages.
Beam Rifle
An improved version of the beam rifle used by the Zeta Gundam. which has an extending and retracting barrel. It can also emit a beam blade from its muzzle for use as a long beam saber.
Head Unit
This borrows the form of the MSN-001X Gundam Delta Kai, a prototype from a different project using the same Delta Plus frame.
Beam Saber
Close-combat armament that generates a beam blade Normally stored on saber racks on the inside of the shield. these can also be used as beam guns in Wave Rider form.
Wave Rider
A transformed version of this machine, capable of independently entering the atmosphere and flying under 1G of gravity. By shifting the main thrusters from the waist to the legs, it becomes a multirole fighter with overwhelming straight-line mobility in both air and space. During long-distance flight. it can also dock with an escort machine and operate as an SFS (Sub Flight System).
DELTA ZAYIN ESSENCE
The original specification plan envisioned by AE. The armor forms and equipment prepared for it were identical to the design data of the Delta Gundam. Because these can be also be used as spare parts, they've been entrusted to Argent Keil.
